CHARLESTON — Eastern Illinois University's ongoing homecoming week will conclude with a parade, football game and more on Saturday.
Activities that day will begin with the Charleston Rotary Club's all-you-can-eatpancake breakfast from6:30-10 a.m. in the parking lot ofDirty's, 706 Lincoln Ave.Tickets will be $6 for adults and $3 for children ages 11 and under, with the proceeds going to local charities.
The Charleston Parks and Recreation Department's 2.5-kilometer run/walk will begin at 9 a.m. at Lincoln Avenueand Seventh Street. Participants will head to the courthouse square and back. This is not a timed race, but prizes will be given for first finishers by age categories. The entry fee is $15.

Eastern's homecoming parade will start at 9:30 a.m. at Lincoln and Seventh. The procession will include approximately100 floats, marching bands and other entries.
The procession will travel north on Seventh, west on Monroe Avenue and south on Sixth Street around part of the square. It will then move west on Polk Avenue and south on Division Street past Morton Park to O'Brien Field.

Campus and community members are invited to visit the Tailgate & Alumni Tent City area at 11 a.m. There will befood, games, music, and fun for all ages, including a performance by thePanther Marching Band.
Kickoff will be at 2 p.m. for theEIU Panthers football team's game versus the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks.
Homecoming will conclude with the Alumni Awards Dinner at 6 p.m. in the Martin Luther King Junior Union's Grand Ballroom. The honorees are Chris Caldwell, Todd Connor, Michael Copeland, Erin Eddinger, Jerry Esker, Joe Gardella, Faythe Missick, Col. Leon Rogers and Phillip "PJ" Thompson.
